Points of Interest (POI)đź”—

In Bikerouter, “Points of Interest” (POI) of various categories can be displayed, for example drinking water fountains, bakeries, gas stations, etc.

For each type of POI, a layer can be added.

Two steps are necessary:

  1. Add layers to the layer selection
  2. Activate and deactivate the desired layers as needed

Select layersđź”—

Open the layers sidebar:

The “More” button provides access to many types of base and overlay layers:

An expandable list opens. Here you can select the desired POI layers. By clicking on the box, the layers are added to the layer selection:

Finally, this list is closed again by clicking the “More” button once more.

Activate layersđź”—

The added layers can now be activated and deactivated in the layer selection:

Tip

The POI icons on the map can be clicked and then display additional information, e.g. the opening hours of a shop (depending on the completeness of the data in OpenStreetMap).

Warning

The POI icons are only visible at larger map scales (zoom levels 11 and higher).
